Exit: Copied World
Exit: Copied World is an interactive game installation
that explores the boundaries between physical and virtual reality.
The artist utilized 3D scanning to capture the historic wooden architecture of 'AITHER' gallery
in Busan and reconstructed it within a game engine.
This "nested structure"—exhibiting virtual artworks within a replicated virtual gallery
—invites the audience into a meta-exhibition.
The distorted textures created during the digital transition highlight
the sensory gap between the "replicated" and the "real."
Navigating the space via a game controller, participants embark on a journey
to find the "Exit" leading to Busan’s transit hubs,
experiencing a surreal displacement of time and space.
"This video is an edited documentation of the actual game play from the interactive installation."
